I ts unique position makes Upper Garda a Mediterranean oasis at the foot of the Dolomites. For thousands of years it has been the most northerly point for the production of olive oil (in particular from the Casaliva variety), and is recognised as a quality oil worldwide. It’s exceptionally delicate, with a fresh grassy fragrance and goes beautifully with dishes that have fresh, light and elegant flavours. Many of the Lake Garda producers have joined into a consortium and have created the famous Garda DOP Olive oil, defined by its various zones, one of which is Garda Trentino.
